Royal Green Jackets Museum - Waterloo Exhibition

All.
I thought I'd take some time out to post some pics from the Royal Green Jackets Museum and their Waterloo exhibition running until September.
Very good and well worth a visit if you are in Winchester. Only £4 for an adult too.
The museum itself documents the history of the Royal Green Jackets and the previous battalions which make up the regiment (95th rifles, 60th rifles etc)
Obviously I took more pics but I don't want to steal all of their intellectual property and ruin your visit.

Waterloo Project - New additions.

I have realised that for some reason I haven't updated my latest additions to the Waterloo project, here on my blog. So here goes.

I've done an extra flank company for the 27th Regiment of Foot. This is because in a big melee I lost track of which company was the Grenadier Company and which company was the Light Company. As you can see these figures are clearly identifiable as the Light Company. These figures are from the new Front Rank reinforcement packs.

You can also see the new light company of the Coldstream Guards which I've finished. These figures are x 24 plastic Warlord Game figures and the skirmishers are lead Warlord Figures and Plastic Perry Miniatures.

Finally,  I have also painted 12x French Dragoons. These Dragoons are the excellent Plastic Figures from Perry Miniatures!

I am seeing a light at the end of the tunnel for my Waterloo project painting now, and it's been great fun!

Waterloo Project - Test Game

Apologies in advance for this being photo heavy.
Back on March 1st we had a test game for the Waterloo project. Normally I leave updates for this to the excellent Chris Gregg and his blog, however I couldn't resist.
Hope you enjoy the photos guys!

Nassau Infantry - Waterloo Project

After much hesitation I have started my Nassau Infantry for the Waterloo project.
Aside from ordering the figures I have had a lot going on personally so haven't had a great deal of time.
I also wanted to go to Salute to try pick up some cheap Vallejo paints for the Nassau infantry before I started, which I did!
I have painted the first 2 which leaves me with 88 more to finish. I just wanted to get the green and the straps right before painting all of the figures.
I am aware the flank companies mostly had epaulettes not shoulder rolls but I like the look of the shoulder rolls and the Front Rank Figures.
As always comments and feedback welcome.

Salute 2015

Here are a few photos from my visit to Salute 2015.
As always a great turn out and some great demonstration games.
I didn't purchase many figures because I am heavily committed with the Waterloo project.
I did however purchas a pack of Napoleonic Dutch Jagers from Eagle Figures http://www.eaglefigures.co.uk/wordpresstrial/, a range that I have been looking at for a while.
I will review the figures in more detail later when I get the chance, and will do this on another blog page. However they looked very impressive on the display and seem like great figures for a great price. You can't argue with 24x 28mm figures for £24 nowadays.
